Dear Parents,

I am writing to inform you about our first annual road race which will take place on Wednesday 6^th April around the La Torre Golf Resort.  The race will start at around 11:45 and will be completed by 13:15.

This will be an inter-house competition with every child who completes the course will earning their house some precious house points. Years 3, 4 and 5 will complete one lap of the course covering 3 kilometres. Years 6 to 10 will complete two laps of the course covering 6 kilometres. With this being the first of many road races that will follow the same course, this is a fantastic opportunity for all competitors to complete the course in the fastest time and, in doing so, having the chance to set the first King’s College road race record for their year group.

Pupils must wear their full King’s College Physical Education kit or a plain t shirt in their house colours. No colourful or branded t shirts will be allowed.  A water bottle would be advisable, however, water will be available around the track.

This has been a well-planned event involving the local police, the security on La Torre and the King’s College staff to ensure the safety of all children taking part in this event.

Parents are welcome to come and show their support at any time during the race.
