From the Head

25th November 2011

Dear Parents,

I am delighted to report that with your efforts we raised €342.40 for the Royal British Legion.  Thank you for your generosity once again.

UNDER 10S FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT, 29TH NOVEMBER 2011

Next Tuesday we have the U.10s Football Tournament with a number of visiting schools.  The tournament starts at 10.30am and will run until 3pm.  The school has two teams for the event and parents are most welcome to attend.

INTER-HOUSE EVENTS

In Key Stage 2 and Secondary next week there will be, respectively, Inter-House Chess and Inter-House Basketball.  On Friday 2nd December the inter-house Basketball Finals will take place between 3 and 4.15pm in the Sports Hall, with the 3rd and 4th Place game at 3pm and the Final at 3.30pm.  Parents are warmly welcomed.

VISIT OF MR TREVOR ROWELL

On Tuesday 29th November Mr Trevor Rowell, the Chairman of COBIS and former Head of the biggest British international school in the world, will be visiting us.  He is our representative Governor on the King´s Group Board and a huge supporter of the school.  We look forward to having him here.

SHOES

Can you please remind your children that even when playing on the football pitch they must wear a pair of shoes (it is best for them to bring a pair of trainers to change in and out of).  In addition, if Infant School children come to school in Wellington boots, can you please ensure they have an additional pair of shoes for wearing.

PUNCTUALITY

While punctuality to school has been much better this year, parents and children are still drifting in between 9.15 and 9.30am.  It is important to stress that school actually begins at 9.15am with important tutor time and class preparation time with the younger children.  I would really appreciate your attention to this matter.

After a very British week of weather I very much hope you enjoy a fine weekend.

Best wishes
