Dear Parents,

We have reached the final full week of term, after a busy and fulfilling year.  The school is moving on apace, but we still have huge plans for continuing to improve what we do and offer. 

LETTERS ONLINE

I am once again resorting to sending out the letter by hand on this occasion, as I am aware of the fact that many parents have not yet got into the habit of reading the links sent out by email.  If you are not receiving the emails, which come weekly from This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it it means that you will have to update your email with us because we are yet to have your correct email address on ClaSS.   The letters will, of course, always be on www.kcmurcia.es  The letter will be sent out by hand for just one week only, unless there is a return slip attached and then the letters will always go out by hand.

SOME REMINDERS

Speech Day- Prizes and Speeches will begin at 11am in the La Torre Conference Centre on Tuesday 28^th June.  All parents and children should be seated by 10.50am.  The Year 1 and 2 Speech Day will take place in the Dining Hall at 11.30am.  Again, parents should be seated prior to the event, at 11.20am.    These will be followed, for those who have signed up, by the lunch at El Limonero.  Prizes will be announced at the prize giving itself.  It is important that all students therefore attend the Prize Giving.  Parents who attend Prize Giving are welcome to take their children home with them after the event.  Lunch will, however, be available in school should children wish to take lunch.  School will close and buses will run at 2.30pm.  If your child normally travels by bus, unless you inform us otherwise by filling in the form below and returning it to Carlos Campos at Reception, we will assume that your child will travel by bus as usual.

Reports- Reports will be accessible on ClaSSic only, unless you request a hard copy to be printed from Christine Whitehead in the School Office.  These will be available by 5pm on Tuesday 28^th June.

Parent Drop-in- There will be a drop-in for parents who wish to see any teacher between 9.30am and 1.30pm on Thursday 30^th June.  Parents should report to the main reception at any time during those hours where they will be given a plan of where the teachers are based.  If it is to get reports translated parents should report to the multi-purpose room just inside the Main Building.  Of course, if you are coming to see an Early Years/Key Stage 1 class teacher, you should report to the relevant classroom.

The Summer School- There are still places available for the King´s College Summer School.  If you are still interested please do sign up before the end of Friday 24^th June.

School Uniform Shop- The school uniform shop will open at Bazar, opposite the La Torre Polaris Supermarket, from 16^th August.

We have some exciting events still to go with the Play going on this evening and tomorrow evening and the inter-house golf taking place today.  Next week we have the trips to Terra Mitica and Terra Natura and of course the Prize Giving.  Everyone will deserve a really good break once the term ends on 28^th June.

The school will be open in July and August, with the exception of the period between 1^st and 16^th August.  While the King´s College Summer School will be going on in July, the school will be open for administrative enquiries only in August. The school will be open for general enquiries only during the last two weeks of August.

I hope everyone has a superb summer and all the children come back refreshed and raring to go for the new academic year.
